To get started with MYSQL

When you have installed the mysql server and mysqld python in your syste. Then its time to create the root password for mysql.

 

To create a root password for MySQL use the command:-

 

$ mysqladmin -u root password NEWPASSWORD

 

To change the password which is already used use the command:-

 

$ mysqladmin -u root -p’oldpassword’ password newpass

 

Now to create the database we should first login with mysql root :-

 

To login with root use the command :-

 

mysql -u root -p

 

which result showing 🙁

 

Enter password:

Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.

Here you have to enter the root password.

 

Then you can check the DATABASES with the command:-

 

SHOWDATABASES;

 

To create database use the command :-

 

CREATE DATABASE (database name);

 

Now create a user for the database :-

 

CREATE USER ‘manuel’@’localhost’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘root’;
